Professional home inspector conducting a healthy home assessment

Your Healthy Home Assessment

Most people think about air filters and water pitchers. A truly healthy home goes deeper than that. We look at the full picture — then tell you exactly what we find.

We measure first. We recommend second.

The EPA identifies a long list of common residential environmental concerns — particulate matter, VOCs, carbon monoxide, radon, mold, formaldehyde, lead, asbestos, and more. Most homeowners have no idea which of these, if any, are present in their home.

Our Healthy Home Assessment is built around that reality. We come in, we measure, we inspect, and we give you an honest report of what we find. Sometimes the answer is 'your home is in great shape.' That's a good outcome too.

When we do find something, we either provide the solution ourselves or connect you with a licensed specialist for the work that requires one — like radon mitigation, lead abatement, or asbestos removal. We're not here to sell you something you don't need. We're here to help you understand your home.

What makes our assessment different

Real air quality diagnostics

We measure PM2.5, PM10, TVOCs, CO₂, carbon monoxide, humidity, and temperature — and when it makes sense, we monitor over several days rather than relying on a single five-minute snapshot. You might find out your particulate levels are excellent but your CO₂ spikes overnight, pointing to a ventilation issue rather than a filtration need. That kind of honest answer is exactly what we're here for.

Moisture and building envelope inspection

Moisture is one of the most overlooked threats to a healthy home. Using thermal imaging, moisture meters, humidity and dew-point measurements, and visual inspection, we look for roof leaks, plumbing leaks, condensation, HVAC issues, wet walls, crawlspace moisture, and poorly insulated areas. We find the cause — not just the symptom.

Radon testing

Radon is a radioactive soil gas that can enter any home regardless of age or location. The EPA recommends testing every home and mitigation at 4 pCi/L or higher. It's measurable, it's fixable, and it's something most homeowners never think to check. We do.

Moisture and mold assessment

We don't just test for mold — we look for where the moisture is coming from. Roof? Plumbing? HVAC condensation? Foundation? Poor ventilation? Find the source, correct it, and remediate what's affected. That's the right order of operations.
